2025 in Review and 2026 on the Horizon

Hi! Popping by here to see if I can still even remember my WordPress login credentials, haha.

For the first time in a decade or more, I’m finishing the year with the exactly the same cars I started it with. Maybe my buy-sell-trade habits are finally cured, or I’m finally content with my “dream garage.” I did have some fun with a 2003 Acura CL Type-S this year in Aegean Blue Pearl. It was a rare car – one of only about 58 in its configuration with a 6-speed manual and navigation. I made some improvements, produced some videos, and then sold it to a local friend who wanted it. Thanks, David!

I had some fun adventures this year. I drove my now-restored 1986 Legend to Monterey, California for “Car Week” and showed the finished product to its original owner. I also achieved 600,000 miles on my 1994 Legend during the National Acura Legend Meet (NALM) in Vermont. I attended my 25-year high school class reunion, stayed at the haunted Stanley hotel in Colorado, ate lunch in a cavern 200 feet underground, showed my 1995 Legend LS at its first major show (RADwood LA), and made international visits to Mexico (April) and Switzerland (September). I slept in a 1950s Airstream trailer just a few weeks ago. And I celebrated my 44th birthday within the last week or so. Lots of memories!

As you’ll see in the Excel grid screenshot below, I drove 25,918 miles this year and spent $11k on maintenance. My 12 current vehicles combined have 2,368,849 miles.

You can still find me producing stories and/or video for YouTube, ClassicCars.com, ClassicCars TV (part of Barrett-Jackson), KSL Cars, and SBX Cars. I’m also active on Instagram. Come to think of it, I have two Instagram accounts. Here’s the one for the NALM. I’m probably forgetting a few things, but I’m easy to reach if you ever want to get in touch. If you’re ever in Phoenix, reach out so you can stop by and sign my guest book. Many of you are already in there.

Below is my mileage / maintenance grid, as well as a photo of each vehicle in its exact current state (posted in descending order by mileage). By the way, my Motocompacto electric scooter is at the landfill. The battery quit taking a charge, and Acura quoted me about $700 parts and labor to fix it. The only Honda that’s really ever let me down. It made it just barely past the one-year warranty.

Let’s see what the new year brings! Thanks for tuning in, and until next time.
