Legend Spy Shot Roundup #6
It’s been awhile, hasn’t it? It’s been since last June that I shared a Legend Roundup with you. I finally took the time to compile this latest and greatest episode of Legend spy shots. For a refresher course, here are a few of the previous ones:
I decided to post this as soon as I hit 100 submissions, and that happened yesterday. I’ve given up on putting these in alphabetical order by shooter, or even remembering who sent each one to me.
Today’s tally is:
- 100 Acura Legends
- 13 Acura Vigors
- 6 Acura NSXs
- 1 Acura SLX (go Tyler!)
- 1 Acura CSX
- 1 Acura EL
- 2 Honda Preludes
The 100th car was a Golden Glow 1991 L coupe that Jim sent me yesterday afternoon.
I ran the Carfax based on the license plate, and it was a low-miler. The last odometer reading was in June with 118,000 miles.
Thanks Jim for being one of my top submitters! Along with many others who are reading this.
For your viewing pleasure, I present the Mac-Daddy of all Acura Legend photo collections! Was one of these photos yours?
Enjoy.

I forsee an SLX in your future… after the GS-R 😉
PS – I made a cameo in there!

Ha – yes you did! Looking sharp there next to that G2 coupe! And the SLX is definitely going to happen, it’s just a matter of time 🙂

Why isn’t your Vigor on there? I spied it when I happened to merge onto the 101 at the same time you did from the opposite on-ramp from a different highway. We were an hour away from each other at one point.

I still can’t believe how that happened. I was pulling up the GPS stalker to see where you were, and it showed you right behind us on 202. I turned to Jake (who was driving) to show him the screen of my phone, and I saw my ILX in the left rear window, two lanes across! Unreal timing.

Wild seeing those Canadian-market cars with US plates. I wonder if there was any challenge registering them if the model names weren’t in the DMV computers. Nice job, spotters!

I had the same thought process. I actually Carfaxed that EL the day Cody sent it to me, because I was curious how the car had ended up in Utah. Turns out that it came initially to Arizona and then was moved across state lines. I have to imagine the driver gets some funny looks for driving a gussied up Civic with Acura badges… but then again, isn’t that what I’m doing, too? Ha

Thats a lot of Legends. I actually spotted another one on my way home parked at a mechanic garage on grand, but I was naturally driving too fast to whip out my phone and snap a pic… just to think, I could have been #100. Oh Well. I think I spot one or two I took in there. 😉 And that Acura EL? I cannot even!

Yes, you are a major contributor now! Thanks for supporting the effort, and keep up the good work. Someday I wouldn’t mind owning an EL, but that’s a ways down on the priority list.

If I got the count right, my shots were numbers 16, 53, and 68. the one I keep trying to get is a white Legend sedan (’91 or ’92) that an elderly woman near me drives. It looks like it just came off the showroom floor. One of these days I’ll grab the shot.
Also, I didn’t realize Vigors were fair game. Now, it’s on like Donkey Kong.

Oh yeah, get on it! You’ve always done a great job at capturing these. I have to imagine that with each passing year they’ll be tougher and tougher to find.

I think we need to introduce S2000’s into this list… I might be slightly biased in this… 🙂

I’m game! Bring ’em on!

I see a few of the ones I’ve passed on in there. LOL good job Tyson

Yes you’ve contributed more than a few! Usually you find the nice ones! Keep em coming.

Wow that’s a lot of Acuras! It’s nice to see some being taken care of and not destroyed like the yellow Prelude.

I know! Barbados Yellow, as I recall. That was an 88-89 only color, and I love it. Hope you’ve had a great week!

Heyyy that red coupe was my shot! Taken at the 24 Hour ChumpCar race at VIR – I was biking around the paddock before we all strapped into our cars (this is when I raced the #169 BMW 328i) and found it.
Oddly enough, I don’t recall seeing it out on the track with me. I wonder if they had a breakdown or something.
But it looked damn good on those 3G TL wheels #3gTLbestcarever

Haha, yes! I was impressed when you sent me this one – mostly because I’d never seen it, and the Legend fan club (as you experienced this weekend) is kind of tight knit. Anywayyyy happy Friday! 🙂
